Bahati Satir Omar possesses a wide range of experience in advocacy, empowerment, and program management from the disability and development sector. He has worked with organizations and groups of persons with disabilities for over ten years in Rwanda and has engaged well with several grassroots, national, regional, and international initiatives and organizations. His passion and zeal for positive social change in the lives of persons with disabilities are rooted in the adversities he experienced and, in his desire, to enable others with impairments live a fulfilling life. He is a 2016 Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumnus, a social entrepreneur, a mentor, a coach, and a role model to many.
Bahati is well-connected with global networks of changemakers and disability activists worldwide and has well-built partnerships with several stakeholders within Rwanda and around the globe. He enjoys meeting new friends, trekking, sports, and being adventurous.
