Tshimangadzo Faith Ramathaga

Tshimangadzo Ramathaga is a Process Engineer in Training at Sasol LTD who works to empower the community through business, entrepreneurship, and training initiatives. She completed her BSc (Hons) Chemical Engineering degree at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg South Africa, where she also started two small businesses targeting university students. Tshimangadzo is currently working towards a certificate in SMME Management through the University of South Africa. She is a social entrepreneur who is involved in many initiatives, and she firmly believes in being actively involved outside the normal work routine. Tshimangadzo has partnered with a local business (Lake Umuzi) and coordinates the Secunda Market Fest, and initiative that focuses on promoting local talents and small businesses. Through this initiative, she has reached out to over 450 small businesses and companies. She has been a fellow for Africa's Brightest Young Minds, Emerging Leaders Camp, LEAD Global Program, Women in Engineering Fellowship, and Unilever Africa Idea Trophy. Tshimangadzo also developed the Green Gym Concept which won the Women in Engineering Technovation Business Challenge and is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society. As a co-founder of Africa Youth Explore, an initiative that aims to empower youth from disadvantaged communities, her dream is to see the community well-educated and for everyone to have an opportunity to be part of uplifting the economy through business. Tshimangadzo also volunteers mentoring and tutoring young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and is a director of the start-up, AtYourService Pty Ltd. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Tshimangadzo hopes to create a water and waste management company.
