2022 Fellow from Botswana

Tsholofelo Mokgoabone has more than nine years of experience in grant management, business development, economic research, and corporate governance. She is the founder of Letsopa Consult, which provides governance, compliance, and board development services. She is also the founder of Finance First Botswana, a non-profit that promotes financial literacy and inclusion by offering capacity-building and business development solutions to Botswana's small, medium, and micro enterprises. Tsholofelo is an alumna of both the Global Shapers Community and the Young African Leaders Initiative TechCamp. She also serves as an ambassador for One Young World, an Apolitical Academy Southern Africa (formerly Futurelect) Fellow, and an Obama Foundation Leader. Tsholofelo was honored with the 2016 50 Batswana Change Makers Under 30 Award in Business and Leadership for her contributions to financial inclusivity and community development. She graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in finance and economics, as well as certificates in social entrepreneurship, fintech, and emerging economies entrepreneurship. Tsholofelo is pursuing a certified director qualification from the Institute of Directors South Africa. Since completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, she has continued to advocate for policies that promote financial inclusion and economic empowerment.
