Tlotlego Chabalala has more than 10 years of experience in international development. Currently, Tlotlego is technical adviser at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) and focuses on giving support to the Southern African Development Community and to regional nonstate actors on issues of peace, security, and good governance. She has also previously worked as a junior communications officer at the United Nations Population Fund in Botswana and as a volunteer content analyst for the United Nations Development Programme in Brazil. Tlotlego holds a master's degree in Politics and International Relations. She is committed to international development that improves the living conditions of her communities. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Tlotlego plans to continue working in international development and assisting with long-term solutions to corruption, conflict, and human rights violations.
