Wuraoluwa Soibi Ayodele

Wuraoluwa Ayodele holds a degree in Law from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Nigeria, and has five years of experience in the non-profit and community development sector. As a lawyer, her specific focus is on gender equality, and her work involves helping women and girls who are survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). Wuraoluwa is the founder of Women Safe House Sustenance Initiative, and the Principal of Safe House Legal, a non-profit organization and law firm, where she provides a safe house environment, legal services, health care and economic empowerment for sustenance to female survivors of GBV across Nigeria. Wuraoluwa is also the welfare secretary for the International Federation of Women Lawyers, Oyo State branch in Nigeria, where she collaborates to offer pro bono services to vulnerable women and children. Wuraoluwa is driven by her passion for eliminating GBV against women and girls, and upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, plans to continue her fight to end GBV and help girls and women attain their right to a safe life in society.
