Yasir Younis Abdullahi has ten years of experience serving in various roles in public health organizations. Yasir holds a master's degree in Emergency Surgery from Hawassa University, where he focused on contemporary, adolescent, and maternal health issues. Currently, Yasir is the general manager of a general hospital, responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and evaluating the clinical and non-clinical services to disadvantaged groups. While working at the hospital, Yasir established a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) clinic to address the social and cultural stigma affecting young adolescent victims. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Yasir plans to continue his work on GBV by empowering women through education, peer psycho-social services, and promoting social justice.
