Taking Children Around the World Through the Power of Stories

In Summer 2021, as part of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln partnered with Lincoln Littles, an early childhood education initiative, to create an online repository of stories to share with young children to learn about the history and cultures of humanity.

For six weeks, 25 young African leaders from 17 countries participated in the Leadership in Civic Engagement Institute. Fellows also participated in virtual community service activities and engagement with local leaders, including the director of the Lincoln Littles program.

Visit the Global Nebraska website to watch, listen and share the children’s stories prepared by the Fellows in a variety of formats.
