Mandela Washington Fellows tackle Climate Change through Sustainable Agricultural Practices

Four 2021 Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni – Kwame Owusu Ansah, Akua Oforiwa Darko, Asher Mustapha, and Priscilla Tawiah – are collaborating on an Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) grant project titled, “Ensuring Sustainable Agriculture through Climate Smart Agro Practices.” This year-long initiative aims to educate 100 smallholder farmers in the Greater Accra (Ningo-Prampram) and Bono (Gyaman South) regions of Ghana on climate smart agricultural practices that promote resilience and are essential to the success, growth, and protection of the environment against climate change.
