Nivushe film encourages young girls to explore science
In 2013, 2019 Fellowship Alumnus and 2021 Leadership Impact Award winner Ian Tarimo co-founded Tai Tanzania, a non-governmental organization that inspires social behavior changes through 3-D animations and media technologies. Ian is using lessons he learned during his Fellowship to increase positive outcomes in health, education, and social justice.
Tai Tanzania’s short 3-D animated film Nivushe, created with grant funding from U.S. African Development Foundation (USADF), is about a young girl determined to excel in the STEM field, despite the prejudice she faces as a person living with albinism.
