Voices of Exchange is a podcast by the Office of Alumni Affairs in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs that features the voices of alumni of U.S. government exchange programs, cultural and sports envoys, exchange visitors, and more.
On this episode, 2018 Fellowship Alumnus Jok Abraham Thon, founder and director of Promised Land Secondary School in South Sudan, shares how he is advancing peace and resiliency in the region. Jok’s story is connected to the last episode of Voices of Exchange, featuring Reciprocal Exchange Participant Gail Prensky, who documented Jok’s fight to save the soul of his country, one book at a time.
