Congratulations to Chido Cleopatra Mpamba, 2016 Fellowship Alumna, on her appointment as 2021-2022 African Union Youth Envoy!

In a press release on behalf of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission marking African Youth Day on November 1, 2021, they shared:

Ms. Chido Mpemba was selected following a rigorous recruitment process of hundreds of applicants. I am confident that, with her profound knowledge of issues affecting young people, and working in close collaboration with the relevant Departments of the Commission, she will contribute to the effective implementation of African Union youth policies and programs.”

During her Fellowship in 2016, Chido studied Leadership in Business at Dartmouth College.

Congratulations also to Vanessa Metou-Mouini, who is completing a term on the Youth Advisory Council. Vanessa is a 2016 Alumna from the Republic of the Congo who studied Leadership in Civic Engagement at Kansas State University during her Fellowship.
