Fellowship Alumnae and Fellow Selected for Africa Youth Reference Committee

Congratulations to the Fellowship Alumnae and current Fellow selected for the Africa Youth Reference Committee!

Their active involvement in the implementation of both agendas ensures that their voices, aspirations, and needs are taken into account at all levels of decision-making. To advance this goal, the Office of the Youth Envoy partnered with Austrian National Youth Council to establish the Africa Youth Reference Committee. The Committee comprises of 25 African youth representatives selected from all five African Union regions, and fifteen European youth representatives.
Among the 25 African youth selected are:
- Chimdi Neliaku, 2023 Fellow, Nigeria
- Louise Kanza, 2022 Fellowship Alumna, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)
- Ziadath Agnike Achimi, 2019 Fellowship Alumna, Benin
To welcome the successful applicants, AU Youth Envoy and 2016 Fellowship Alumna Chido Mpemba expressed her confidence in the selected candidates, stating, “The selection process was fiercely competitive, and we are thrilled to announce that the chosen candidates, representing diverse African voices, possess an extraordinary wealth of knowledge, experience, and unwavering passion.”
