Course Reflection on “Navigating a Business in Uncertain Times: Strategies to Ensure Your Enterprise’s Long-Term Success”

Leah speaks at an event at University of the Free State, her alma mater.

I recently decided to take the “Navigating a Business in Uncertain Times” course on the Fellowship Portal, and I can personally attest to its professional impact and would recommend it to any Alumni or selected candidate who wishes to understand and embrace business challenges!

Any business owner will tell you that they were somehow impacted by Covid-19, and some of that impact has not been positive.  Like most startup founders, I, too, was impacted, especially because my core market is small business owners.  Taking this course helped me to center my thoughts, align my strategies, and understand the next steps to take during such trying times.  I now understand how to communicate better with my team and implementing the 4Rs helped me to redesign my business and thinking.

Additionally, the tips offered by other Alumni like Joan Enoh Tata, 2019 Alumna from Cameroon, and Thelma Teetee Ahamba, 2019 Alumna from Liberia, included real-life examples and their experiences around how to face business challenges. Their knowledge and practical applications were a breath of fresh air.

Finally, the course challenged me to think differently about how I can navigate my startup.  I would encourage anyone in business to work through the “Navigating Business in Uncertain Times” at your own pace and implement what you learn as you go.  It is a course worth your time and energy.  Try it to earn that certificate!
