In October 2021, 20 Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni attended the 2021 Sankalp Global Summit. The Summit was organized by Sankalp Forum, a collaborative network of over 100,000 global stakeholders. Through this Fellowship-sponsored opportunity, these Alumni engaged with entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers who are committed to furthering the cause of development through entrepreneurship.
This discussion aimed at uniting different actors in the social arena to discuss openly how to tackle our world’s current and future challenges…I learned that when people come together and work on a common goal and objective then there can only be one result: success.”

My exposure to the marvelous works of others in the Sankalp summit was so inspirational and impact-driven. It natures more of empathy and propelled me to do more. It help me re-examine the self-help financial model I am working to implement to help peasant women excluded from the formal financial services.
